Why "Piskie & Glamis"?
People often smile when they first hear our name, and we're usually asked the same question...
"What does Piskie & Glamis mean?"
To us, it means coming home.
Piskie & Glamis wasn't chosen because it sounded mystical or unusual. It was chosen because it honours the women who came before us and the paths that have led us here.
Piskie comes from the mischievous and magical beings of Cornish folklore. Unlike the winged pixies of fairy tales, Cornish Piskies are earth-bound guides, known for leading travellers to unexpected discoveries. Cathy's strong Cornish ancestry makes the Piskie a beautiful symbol of her work—helping others journey into their subconscious through QHHT, reconnect with themselves, and discover the wisdom that already lies within.
Glamis has its roots in Scotland and honours Linda's ancestral connection to Lady Janet Douglas, Lady Glamis, who was tragically accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake in 1537. Today, her story reminds us of the courage to embrace intuition, ancient wisdom and the healing traditions that have been passed quietly from generation to generation.
Together, these two names tell our story.
One path invites you to discover.
One path encourages you to awaken.
Both are woven together through healing, compassion and a belief that every person already carries the answers they seek.
Piskie & Glamis is more than a business. It is our way of honouring our ancestors while creating a welcoming space where others can explore healing, reconnect with themselves and embrace their own unique journey.
We'd be honoured to walk beside you.
